Our Work In Honduras
ASJ-Canada partners with ASJ-Honduras and Canadian communities to defend human rights, fight corruption, and build stronger societies. Guided by our Christian call to act justly and love mercy, we focus on five key areas:
Health
We believe every person is created with dignity and deserves access to life-giving care. We support efforts to make public health systems transparent, effective, and accessible for all, especially the most vulnerable.
Education
Education is a pathway to justice and hope. We promote accountability in schools, expand opportunities for children and youth, and strengthen grassroots human rights education in Honduras and Canada.
Security
Peace and safety are essential for communities to thrive. We work for justice system reforms, expand access to legal protection, and advocate for accountability in law enforcement.
Strong Communities
We are called to walk alongside our neighbours, near and far. By addressing corruption, protecting human rights, and building bridges between Canadians and Hondurans, we help communities flourish together.
Transparency & Democracy
We believe justice requires open systems and accountable leadership. Together with ASJ-Honduras, we work to expose corruption, strengthen democracy, and empower citizens.
